Nose Contouring (Rhinoplasty)
Any man who has concerns about his nose will find that rhinoplasty can generate a new-found aura of confidence. This procedure (commonly known
as cosmetic nose surgery or a nose job) can significantly improve a man's guise by creating a more dignified nose and a more distinguished profile.

At the Brandy Center for Cosmetic Surgery, the rhinoplasty procedure is customized to complement each man's face, whether the goal is to remove a bump, taper a tip or, in some cases,
build up nasal depressions.
Occasionally, a rhinoplasty is performed in conjunction with chin augmentation to obtain optimal aesthetic balance.
Procedure
During a rhinoplasty procedure, an inconspicuous incision is made on the rim of the nose and inside the nostrils. Without disturbing the soft tissue of the nose, the surgeon gently reshapes
the supporting structures that caused the external imperfection.
Post-Operative Care
Immediately following a rhinoplasty, an external dressing will be positioned on the nose for five to seven days. Patients may experience some discomfort which can be managed with prescribed
pain relievers and an ice pack. Swelling and discoloration of the eyes are frequently experienced and will gradually diminish.
The full benefits of a rhinoplasty will not be realized for approximately one year since the last one to two percent of swelling disappears very gradually.
When to Have the Procedure
Unlike many other cosmetic procedures for the face, a rhinoplasty is performed to correct flaws unrelated to the aging process. It can be performed as soon as the nose is fully grown,
as early as 16 years of age. After age 45, a rhinoplasty can be performed but the nasal tissues are thicker and, therefore, harder to sculpt during the procedure. No matter when a rhinoplasty is performed, patients often marvel, "I should
have had this done years ago!"
